Why Is the World Still Here?

“For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah.
For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking,
marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the
ark, and they did not understand (they took no note) until the flood
came and took (swept) them all away; so will the coming of the Son
Man be.” (Matthew 24:37-39) (New American Standard Bible)

Is it really true that this world, as we now know it,
is really coming to an end?

There are so many scriptures in the Bible that prophecy about THE END
that it appears to be a sure thing!

“Behold, I will create new heavens and a new earth.
The former things will not be remembered, nor
will they come to mind.”
(Isaiah 65:17) (New International Version)

“But God has promised us a new heaven and a
new earth, where justice will rule. We are really
looking forward to that!”
(2Peter 3:13) (Contemporary English Version)

And – we know that God’s son will be in charge…

“The harvest is the end of the age, and the harvesters are
angels. The Son of Man will send out his angels, and they
will “WEED OUT” of his kingdom everything that causes
sin and all who do evil.

(Matthew 13:36-41) (NIV)

“As the “WEEDS” are pulled up and burned
in the fire, so it will be at the end of the age.”
(Matthew 13:14) (NIV)

“For the upright shall dwell in the earth, and the
righteous shall remain in it. But the wicked shall
be cut off from the earth
, And the treacherous
shall be rooted out of it
(Proverbs 2:21,22) (NIV)

4 And he will judge between the nations, and will decide
concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords
into plowshares, and their spears into pruning-hooks; nation
shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn
war any more.
(Isaiah 2:4) (ASV)

Just a little while longer, and the wicked ones
will be no more; though you look for them,
they will not be found. But the meek will
inherit the earth and enjoy great peace
(Psalm 37:10,11) (NIV)

“…This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed
from heaven
in blazing fire with his powerful angels.
He will punish those who do not know God and do
not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. They will be
punished with everlasting destruction and shut out
from the presence of the Lord and from the majesty of
his power on the day he comes to be glorified.”
(2Thessalonians 1:7-10) (NIV)

“I have come to bring fire on the earth,
and how I wish it were already kindled!”
(Luke 12:49) (NIV)

“On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning
a scorching wind will be their lot.”
(Psalm 11:6) (NIV)

“…The prophet Daniel described this. If you’ve
read Daniel, you’ll know what I’m talking about.
This is going to be trouble on a scale beyond
what the world has ever seen, or will see again.”
(Matthew 24:15,21) (Message Bible)
“…and he will come at a time of terrible suffering,
the worst in all of history...”
(Daniel 12:1) (CEV)
“Men will faint from terror, apprehensive of what
is coming on the world…”
(Luke 21:26) (NIV)

“The nations were angry with you, but now the time
of your wrath has come. It is time to judge the dead
and reward your servants. You will reward your prophets
and your holy people, all who fear your name, from the
least to the greatest. And you will destroy all who
have caused destruction on the earth
(Revelation 11:18) (New Living Translation)

Then, why are we still here? Do we still have some
unfinished business?

Jehovah is slow to anger, and abundant in lovingkindness, forgiving iniquity
and transgression; and that will by no means clear the guilty,
(Numbers 14:18) (American Standard Version)

But thou, O Lord, art a God merciful and gracious, Slow to anger,
and abundant in lovingkindness and truth.
(Psalm 86:16) (ASV)

The Lord isn’t slow about keeping his promises, as some people think he is.
In fact, God is patient, because he wants everyone to turn from sin and no
one to be lost. (2Peter 3:9) (Contemporary English Version)

31 We know that God does not listen to sinners.
He listens to the godly man who does his will.
(John 9:31) (NIV)

34 Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin.”
(John 8:34) (NIV)

9 I, the LORD, will show no mercy or pity when that time
comes. In my anger I will destroy the earth and every
sinner who lives on it.

(Isaiah 13:9) (Contemporary English Version)

16 There are six things the LORD hates–no, seven things he detests:
17 haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that kill the innocent, 18 a
heart that plots evil, feet that race to do wrong, 19 a false witness
who pours out lies, a person who sows discord among brothers.
(Proverbs 6:16-19) (New Living Translation)

9 Don’t you know that those who do wrong will have no share
in the Kingdom of God? Don’t fool yourselves. Those who indulge
in sexual sin, who are idol worshipers, adulterers, male prostitutes,
homosexuals, 10 thieves, greedy people, drunkards, abusers, and
swindlers–none of these will have a share in the Kingdom of God.
(1Corinthians 6:9-10) (NIV)

4 The person who keeps on sinning is guilty of not obeying
the Law of God. For sin is breaking the Law of God.
(1John 3:4) (New Life Version)

26 If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received
the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, 27 but
only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that
will consume the enemies of God.
(Hebrews 10:26-27) (NIV)

I say this because some godless people have wormed their
way in among you, saying that God’s forgiveness allows
us to live immoral lives
. The fate of such people was
determined long ago, for they have turned against our only
Master and Lord, Jesus Christ.
(Jude 1:4) (NLT)

“When the righteous turns from his righteousness
and commits iniquity, then he shall die in it.”
(Ezekiel 33:18) (New American Standard Bible)

And what particular sin do all of us still need to turn from?

1 And God spake all these words, saying, 2 I am Jehovah
thy God, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of
the house of bondage. 3 Thou shalt have no other gods
before me.
(Exodus 20:1-20) (ASV)

It is sad that here in the 21st century there are still millions
of people who claim that they want to serve only Jehovah
and no other gods but they still willingly serve two god
wannabes – the Greek god, “Jesus” and the Egyptian

“It is interesting to note – that throughout his life –
the one now known as Jesus Christ never did hear
himself called by that name.”
– “Man’s Great Adventure,”
by Edwin W. Pharlow,
professor of history,

” ‘Jesus’ was not the Messiah’s name when He walked the earth.”
-The True Name of The Messiah
by Neil Bornhoft

“It is simply amazing to think that all these years, hundreds of years,
mankind has been calling the Saviour by the wrong name!! It’s hard
to give up the name of Jesus because it’s so deeply ingrained in us
and much has been said and done in that name.”

“The founder of Christianity never heard Himself called ‘Jesus Christ’
during His life. He was known by His Hebrew name Jehoshua.
– Colliers magazine of Sept. 11, 1937
Paul Parnell

“The Hebrews called their coming Savior, the Messiah,
Jahshuawah (Jehoshua). The disciples of the Savior
accepted Him as such, and to them He was known as
Jahshuwah the Messiah. The Greeks, however,
rejected the Hebrew name, and called Him (IESOUS-
Jesus) instead.”

Who is Jesus?

Some authorities, who have spent their entire
lives studying the origins of names believe
that “Jesus” actually means – “Hail Zeus!”
For Iesous in Greek IS “Hail Zeus.”
“Ie” translates as “Hail” and “sous”
or “sus” translates as Zeus.
 The English
name “Jesus”, therefore, stems etymologically
from “Jupiter-Zeus” the chief god of the
ancient Greek Olympus.

Who is Amen?

According to the online Encyclopedia Wikipedia:

Amun (also spelled Amon, Amoun, Amen, and
rarely Imen) Greek Ἄμμων Ammon, and Ἅμμων
Hammon, reconstructed EgyptianYamānu) was
the name of a deity, in Egyptian mythology, who
gradually rose to become one of the most
important deities in Ancient Egypt, before fading
into obscurity.

So, what is Christ’s real name?

“The founder of Christianity never heard Himself called ‘Jesus Christ’
during His life. He was known by His Hebrew name Jehoshua.
– Colliers magazine of Sept. 11, 1937
Paul Parnell

“Originally, the name of the Messiah was pronounced Yehoshua.
This is the Messiah’s original name, and meant ‘Jehovah is salvation’.
It is quite evident that the modern form “Jesus” does not even remotely
resemble the original name that the disciples used. This is fact.”
-Encyclopedia Americana (Vol.16, p. 41)

“Jehoshua” means ‘whose help is Jehovah’; ‘Help of Jehovah’ or
‘saviour of Jehovah’.”
-Smith’s Bible Dictionary under ‘Jehoshua”

We have a choice to make – keep calling God’s son “Jesus”
or call him by his correct name, “Jehoshua”.

And the Apostle John said, “Whoever believes
in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects
the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains
on him.”
(John 3:36) (NIV)

We are still here in this sad and pathetic world because
Jehovah does not want to bring the END before everyone
has a fair chance to worship Him properly!

Is the world listening?

19 Now it’s time to change your ways! Turn to face God so
he can wipe away your sins, pour out showers of blessing
to refresh you, 20 and send you the Messiah he prepared
for you, namely, Jesus. 21 For the time being he must remain
out of sight in heaven until everything is restored to order
again just the way God, through the preaching of his holy
prophets of old, said it would be. 22 Moses, for instance, said,
“Your God will raise up for you a prophet just like me from
your family. Listen to every word he speaks to you. 23 Every
last living soul who refuses to listen to that prophet
will be wiped out from the people.”
(Acts 3:19-23) (Message Bible)

Will the people change their ways?

“But who will be able to stand up to that coming?
Who can survive his appearance? He’ll be like the
strongest lye soap at the laundry.”

(Malachi 3:2) (MSG)

5 Though you already know all this, I want to remind you that
the Lord delivered his people out of Egypt, but later destroyed
those who did not believe.
(Jude 1:5) (NIV)
